I'm interested in building tools that are deeply empathetic to the needs of the community they serve. I believe that close collaboration and communication are the lifeblood of strong teams, and just make life way more fun. I think the best product designers are perfectionists who embrace imperfection and understand that our best work comes from iteration.
Self improvement and perpetual learning are extremely important, not just in work but also in life. Currently practicing listening more than responding, and seeking to understand more than to be understood.
I've been making collages for almost 10 years, and I'm obsessed with color, composition and balance. I sometimes dabble in ceramic hand building; my favorite pieces to make are mouths with crooked teeth. A few summers ago I spent 9 days in the woods of upstate New York learning Japanese timber framing while camping (for the first time, EEK!). It was one of the most unique and inspiring things I've ever done. Recently I've started living nomadically with my husband in our 2012 Airstream that we named Totto.
